Ability to lock individual channels from being edited until additional credentials are entered

I would like to have the ability to lock a channel off from being edited unless the user has specific editing privileges which will require them to re-authenticate to enable edit mode.  This would ensure the integrity/security of finalized data in a calculated channel rather than having to kludge together Raw channels to accomplish the task.
