Axis Layout Options

There are a number of options available for altering the way a graph’s y-axis is laid out. By default, when more than one channel is plotted, each of them will appear on separate axes.

The axis layout options available to you include:

1. Individually Stacked

  • Default layout setting
  • Separate axes for each channel; stacked vertically.
  • Units and scales of the y-axis are handled individually – each axis scale is based solely on its respective channel; units of measure are relative.
  • Data in the bottom-most axis will be mirrored in the Zoom Bar (Time Series only).

2. Single Axis (Time Series only)

Note: Single Axis layout is not available for Scatter Plot graphs.

  • Compiles all plotted channels into a single axis.
  • Y-axis units will be unspecified if each plotted channel has differing units.
  • Axis labelling is unavailable with this option.
  • All graph visualizations will be mirrored in the Zoom Bar.

3. Overlapped

  • Compiles all plotted channels into a single axis.
  • Maintains each channel’s y-axis by ‘stacking’ them horizontally. For this reason, scales and units of measure are maintained.
  • All graph visualizations will be mirrored in the Zoom Bar (Time Series only).
