In an effort to keep your custom fields up-to-date and organized, you may wish to modify a single custom field, including the field's name and type.
Your FlowWorks account must be assigned the 'Group Admin' user role to allow you to edit custom data fields. If you cannot access Custom Fields, please contact your Client Administrator.
1. Open the Custom Fields Tool
- Click Manage from the main navigation panel.
A drop-down menu appears.
- Click Custom Fields.
2. Select a Client
A client is an organization subscribed to FlowWorks' services. Select the client that has the set of fields of which you wish to modify.
Expand the drop-down list to make your selection.
3. Click Configure Fields
4. Click Edit
Use the Edit button to open the set that has the custom field you wish to modify.
5. Click Edit Next to the Field You Want to Modify
In this example, we will modify the Installation Date Type field.
6. Make Your Desired Edits to the Data Field
You can modify the field name and, if you've selected Selection List for field type, you can also change the selection list values (as shown in the example below).
7. Save your changes
- From the 'Edit Data Field' window, click Save Changes.
- From the Custom Fields page, click Save Field Set.
A notification will appear momentarily, confirming that your set saved successfully.
The edits to your custom field will now apply. All the sites you have enabled for displaying the custom field set will have the updated custom field(s).
